Who edits China Big Tech Watch and how research, review, sourcing, and corrections are handled.
An independent editorial desk
China Big Tech Watch is a small independent research project focused on organization, product, AI adoption, workforce policy, and overseas operating signals from China's internet companies. It is not an employee, representative, or official spokesperson for any company covered by the site.
The project uses the collective byline China Big Tech Watch Editorial Desk and does not claim credentials it cannot publicly document. Questions, source clarifications, and correction requests can be sent to 727159017@qq.com.
How a page reaches publication
Short tips are checked against recent records, screened for privacy and business relevance, and labeled by verification status. Public-evidence records retain their source links in the Evidence Monitor; unverified leads remain in a separate working library and do not receive standalone indexable pages.
Automation and AI may assist with deduplication, clustering, translation checks, and page formatting. Public claims, source links, evidence labels, and the final wording of search-facing analysis are reviewed before publication. Search-facing work also needs a clear business mechanism, original interpretation, limitations, and a written test for what evidence could change the conclusion.
Versioned accountability
Research pages display their update date, public references, and related topics so readers can inspect the basis and continue the thread. The downloadable public-evidence dataset preserves the narrow factual scope recorded at the time of the snapshot.
If a source changes, a company issues a clarification, or later evidence weakens an interpretation, the page may be updated, merged, or removed. Material concerns can be sent through the Corrections process.
Corrections and independence
The site does not accept payment for favorable coverage and does not sell placement inside the intelligence feed. Advertising, when enabled, is kept separate from editorial decisions.
When later evidence changes a recorded signal, we update, merge, clarify, or remove it. The Corrections page explains how to request review of a factual statement or privacy concern.
